What’s the most convenient way you’ve found to switch between apps? Have you set up a Hot Corner for it, or do you prefer a three-finger swipe up on the trackpad? I’m torn. I like the three-finger drag option for moving windows and apps in Trackpad options, but if I keep that, it disables the three-finger swipe up for switching between apps.

So, I’m thinking of having a three-finger drag for moving windows and apps, and a hot corner gesture for switching between apps. Can you guys share any ideas or experiences?

Personally I use BetterTouchTool to setup custom gestures for my Magic Trackpad/MacBook Pro Trackpad. I have 4 finger swipe up to show all open apps and 5 finger tap to switch between my current app and the previous used one which makes it easy to switch back and forth between apps such as Safari and Mail when I am doing daily tasks or casual use.

I also found it quite useful to use Stage Manager on my MacBook Pro to show the other open apps on the left side of the screen which makes it really simple to switch between any of the open apps.

  • Scroll through all open apps: Press and hold the Command key, press the Tab key, then press the Left or Right arrow key until you get to the app you want. Release the Command key.

If you change your mind while scrolling through the apps and don’t want to switch apps, press Esc (Escape) or the Period key, then release the Command key.

You can still do both... Have the three-finger drag, and four-finger swipe up for Mission Control.

Turning on the three-finger drag should have changed the three-finger swipe left/right/up gestures to four fingers. Check those settings again and change them to four fingers if needed.

I know I can but I was asking here and wanted to know from people here what method comes and feels to everyone more intuitive?
