Best way to sync iPhone with more than one iTunes library?

I'm travelling shortly and my iTunes library is on my primary desktop computer but I would like to be able to sync with small iTunes library on my macbook air computer that contains apps.

Only way I know to do this is to jailbreak and download that app that lets you do that..... forgot the name.

If Apps is all u interested in, can get it from the Apps store any time without a computer.
