Hello,

I'm around 2-3 days away from my MacBook Pro arriving, and I was just wondering what is the best way to take screenshots on a Mac?

I need something that can be made to take a screenshot of a particular window (automatically scale to the size of the window).

Thanks,

command + shift + 4
this will bring up a cross hair to make a selection or you can use "Grab"

Press Command + Shift + 4 to bring up the crosshair, and then press the space bar to be able to precisely take screenshots of specific windows.

Example:

Try being that exact using your mouse or trackpad.
