best way to upgrade?

got 2010 MBA on SL
to 2011 MBA on Lion

1. 2010 upgrade to Lion and then to a transfer using migration assistant?
2. 2010 SL migration straight to Lion using migration assistant?
3. Time Machine in SL then restore in Lion?

I am just hoping the apps doesn't crash..
which one of these methods is the best??

or are they all the same?
