Hello! I was wondering what everyone's views are on how to best extend battery health and life. I have an iPhone 4 and I would like to keep using it for as long as possible, without having to plug it every night hoping it will make it till the end of the next day. Obviously, all depends on the way you (want to be able to) use your phone.

My strategy to extend battery life: disable bluetooth when possible, indexing and push/auto-fetching emails.

My tactic to battery health: let the iPhone reach 0% as often as possible, and then try to charge it to 100% as often as possible.

Please share your ideas!

turn wifi off when not in use so its not constantly scanning for networks and draining the battery

Thanks, those are indeed the well-known tricks to extend battery life :)

Just use your phone and do not worry about it.

Letting it run to 0% will do more harm than good.

My wife's iPhone4s doesn't last a day on a full charge, even when only on standby it seems. My phone lasts for 2 days. I don't worry about it, but I do try to take this into account.

Good one.. with iOs7 that will become a lot simpler.

Is this so? Can you point to an article or so where this is described? I'd like to read more into it.
