Here is my situation. I have a 3 level house plus a basement. My Cable modem and G router is on the 3rd level and I need to access my wifi in the basement. My airport card inside my macbook isn't strong enough to pick up the signal from three floors up and would need a something stronger. I've read about cantenna and thought that'd be a good solution but am looking for something a little more portable.

I run both windows and osx on this machine, so a device that's compatible with both would be nice.
