I've been enjoying Windows 8.1 Pro on Boot Camp the past few weeks. But there are times I need to use a Mac. Rather than boot into OS X, I've tried remoting into an older Mac Mini I leave on 24/7.

I've tried Ultra VNC and Real VNC so far. Real VNC seems like the better of the two. There are definite keyboard mapping issues. For example, the right option (alt) key maps to Cmd on the Mac. I think it is double complicated because the keyboard is a Mac emulating a Windows keyboard in Boot Camp. And then the keyboard gets mapped back to a Mac in VNC.

Also none of the trackpad gestures work through VNC. I guess that is probably asking too much.

Has anyone had any success remoting from Windows to Mac host?
