Hi
Im coming to the US to study for one year I have an Iphone4 which is basically identical to the one AT&T offer expect It is SIMLOCK free.
Which carry and plan would you guys recommend ? I want to have 100-150 minutes of free calling and a data flatrate ( Im not sure if this is typically done in the US?). I cant use the Verizon network right ?
Im going to be based in the NYC/Manhattan area.
Thanks for your help.

Eric

Can't use Verizon. Your choices are either T-Mobile or AT&T. If you want 3G data speeds you have to go with AT&T, as the iPhone doesn't work with T-Mobile's 3G bands. I'm not sure if there are any regional carriers you can use in NYC.
It's a pretty saturated market, so sometimes ATT&Ts 3G coverage isn't much better than T-Mobile's 2G.

An AT&T prepaid plan to enjoy the full benefits of the iphone (3G speed, facetime properly).

A T-mobile prepaid $50 unlimited text, data, phone for cost benefits (but you are limited to EDGE speeds)

thanks for all the infos!
I will look into them next week when I'm in the states.
