I’m in the market for wireless earbuds that I’d use primarily for running and also gym to pair with iPhone or even just Apple Watch.

As I’m quite picky about earphones, I’m looking for specific things, such as:

1. Crisp sound.
2. Good bass - I listen to lots of hip hop so bass is a must. I hate flat sounding earphones.
3. Cord (if there is one) shouldn’t make any noise when rubbing/bumbing against my body while running.
4. Noise isolation, so silicone buds are a must.
5. Price range: below $200

I’d appreciate some suggestions. Thanks!

so far Jabra Elite 65T works for me. It doesn't slip out when sweat gets in, no cords to pull the buds out, good sound quality although I am not a bass-head but there is a sound equaliser you can adjust in their app. Passive noise isolation is good and you can turn on hear-through mode as I do sometimes run on the pavement so I need awareness.

I went with the Jaybird X3s. Hate how bulky the pieces are but running with them in sport fit you hardly know they’re there. Good battery life, sweat proof, combined with the audio tuning app makes it a good option for working out. Good price too.

+1 Jaybird X3 . They work well in the gym and on my outdoor runs. Bluetooth is tricky outdoors is there isn't anything for the BT signal to bounce of, but I haven't had a problem with audio intermittently cutting out outdoors.

Powerbeats 3 and AfterShokz Trekz Air.

Two different technologies (wireless and bone conduction). Use the Trekz when running around the city so that you can still hear the traffic. Rest of the time use the Powerbeats 3.

I eventually decided to go with Jaybird X4 and they seem pretty good!

Were you able to listen to music with them outside without your phone and just the watch on cellular? I really like these but the combinations of Apple Watch 4/Cellular/Outside/No Phone does not work - all I get is static/cutting out/dropping off/etc. It happened with both the Active 65T and the regular one.

Airpods! I don’t want total sound isolation since they’re good for jogging. They don’t fall off. And no wires!!! Battery last for hours on a charge.
