Best YouTube downloader?

Hi,

Basically what is the best YouTube downloader? I will primarily want to save music and not the videos, but both functionality would be good. Mainly house and dance remixes because the releases are often a long way behind some radio stations.

I know the quality is rubbish etc on the sound but I like listening to music before it is released and have it on the go, I guess by doing this it can tide me over until I can buy official releases.

you should search better with mroogle. This question has been covered several times.

I always download with keepvid.com. The highest quality (that's a quicktime movie). Then it opens in quicktime and I tell quicktime to export the sound. That's how I do it.

2) Open Activity window in Safari
3) Look for the largest file in the list
4) Double click it.

This will download the Youtube's flv or mp4 file.

I use MovieSherlock with my Mac.

Easy for me. I can search and download and convert by one click. Easy and fast.
I like to load movies to my iPhone. It adds the movie to iTunes just after converting.
The one lack is impossible to load mp3 to iPhone. But the support promises the free update with this feature.

GetTube, you can download just the audio on the youtube video, or you can download audio and the video.

Hey I tried this but when ever I double click on the file instead of being able to save it the movie file opens in a new window by itself. Does the file save in cache folder that can be accessed?

Hold the Option key down while you double-click.

Option-clicking forces it to download. As does copy-pasting it into the downloads window

Basically there's no best, as you spend such time on the internet I suggest you to use online services
