Upgraded to beta 2 yesterday, via OTA, worked seamlessly.

However, since then, my battery has gone from 100% to 5% 3 times, with very little usage. I'm killing all the active apps and it still happening.

Anybody else experiencing this with beta 2?

I had the same issue until I did a fresh install and restore the phone as NEW. Now the battery lasts as long as it did on iOS6 if not longer.

Same here. I set up beta 1 as new and upgraded to beta 2 OTA. Battery life is the same as it was on iOS 6 :)

Go and see if you have keychain enabled in icloud, that kill my battery too.

Just tried turning off keychain, will report later if it helps.

Also turn off background app refresh
Settings > General > Background app refresh

Beta 2 definitely seems to be more battery friendly than beta 1. The tips above are for some extra stability and battery life, but what you described is likely to be fixed by a reinstall of the OS.

Turn off traffic in location services battery life is dramatically improved!

I turned off "Frequent Locations" and noticed a big improvement in battery life.

I don't quite understand how this would help battery considering I have yet to even see an indicator that Traffic is using your location?

Not sure if this is the case in iOS 7 (I reverted already because of stability issues), but in iOS 6 system services that use location don't indicate that they're doing so by default.

I turned off keychain, shared photo streams and parallax - one of them has fixed the problem, battery is much better.

This is for everyone, YES, keychin drains battery like hell, when I was on ios 7 with my iphone 4, I remember one time, I charged my phone to 100%. After 3 hours, the usage stats looked like this: standby 3h 20min, usage 3h 20min and my battery was at 60% and I only unlocked the phone once to check a missed call, that's it, 1 unlock.

Mine is going pretty quick lately too. I noticed the weather uses GPS alot even with background updates off. Right now I'm on two hours twenty minutes of use and eight hours of standby. Btw I would have written the actual numbers but my iPad mini must have a bug. I can't select the numbers keyboard.

Might be a silly question, but do you think if I instal iOS 7 beta 2 as a fresh instal, and then restore my phone to get all the apps and stuff back on my phone the battery life will improve? It just takes so long I don't want to waste my time if it doesn't. Lol. Thanks guys

I agree with this however turning traffic off had a drastic effect on battery life.
