Hi,

Just noticed safari won't allow for a private browsing window or any new window to open. Can anyone recreate this?

Trash the Safari folder under Library. Make sure you back up your bookmarks. No need if you're syncing them via iCloud.

Did not work. Have to reinstall my extensions though.

Developer beta 4 installed here just a few minutes ago (on external USB3 SSD formatted to HFS+).

I'm running Safari right now and can open a new window, or open a new private browsing window, without problems...

Same for me. I'm also seeing a switch from the integrated graphics gpu to the dedicated graphics gpu as soon as Safari starts up and displays the Google homepage.

I don't think that has anything to do with anything. I am running my MacBook Pro on the LG UltraFine 5K which only uses dedicated graphics.

Maybe, but this has only doing this since the latest beta. And the inability to open any new Safari window started at the same time.

Not sure if its the same issue, but when I click a link to open a new tab, the new tab window is blank. However, if I right click and choose open in New Tab, the link opens correctly.

Same here, since the DP4 (18A336e) the dGPU is in use instead of the integrated graphics every time I use Safari/Safari Technology Preview.

Same issue here. Didn't know you could right-click to get around it, so thanks for that!

I wonder if Beta 5 fixes this issue? I have not been able to update just yet. Thought I would ask if anyone has updated and tested it out.

Edit: Beta 5 fixed the problem.
