Okay - to start, as a baseline, I don't keep generally music on my phone. Maybe a song here to there that I purchased while on the go, but that's about it.

With Beta 2, I noticed that all of my iTunes-purchased songs were "available" in the Music app even though I had not intentionally/physically downloaded them. Soon figured out I had the toggle set to "show all purchases, even if not on this phone", turned that OFF so only songs already on my phone were shown - problem solved. (This was only after I played tons of them, only to discover that I was really downloading each one again - big hit on my data plan, but, again, my mistake, and I remedied the issue.)

However, with beta 5, all of my songs are again downloaded (this time, actually already on my phone - not just 'available to be downloaded"). I still have the toggle to "show all purchases, even if not on this phone" set to OFF. And I certainly didn't take any affirmative action to download them.

But here's the really weird thing:

Now, I not only have all my iTunes purchases on my phone, I also have all the songs from CDs I BURNED to my laptop all the way back to 2004 or so. Several of these CDs are of titles that aren't even available in the (US) iTunes store. And they are physically located on my phone (taking up 8gigs of space - lucky I was on wifi). None of these CDs have ever been synced to my phone, and I haven't synced my phone to my laptop in forever (pretty much since iCloud came out).

I don't subscribe to iTunes Match (and have the toggle regarding iTunes Match is set to "off").

Any idea what is going on here? Anyone else see a similar issue? I certainly wouldn't want iOS7 downloading 8 gigs of content over the cell network without my knowledge if I ever had to restore from a location that wasn't on wi-fi.
