Beta restore

So I ask this question because I notice that my boot screen didnt do the new boot up where its animated.

Question:

Can you restore from a backup from an old beta or does best practice say you should wipe it and clean install because the backup leaves the old bugs in it?

Best practice is not to restore for exactly the reason you said but I did restore when I installed beta-1 and saw nothing adverse.
Some were claiming decreased battery life but I used both options and had horrible battery life either way.
I believe there is an issue specific to beta-2, however, where if you are going to restore you have to create your backup using iTunes beta-1 and then restore it using iTunes beta-2.
Probably worth not restoring.
