Beta Users: Downgrade/Update to GM Before Updating to Public Release?

Hi, I'm running the latest iOS 7 beta on both my iP4S and iPad mini but haven't yet updated to the GM (don't really want to go through the trouble of backing up/restoring everything). Will I need to update to the GM or restore to iOS 6 to be able to download the final, public release of iOS 7?

Sorry, I guess I should be more clear. To update to the public build, do I need to do so through the GM or will I be able to download it OTA once it's released to the public?

You cannot do OTA from a beta. You will need to upgrade through the computer.
