I need to convert some betasp tapes to compressed quicktime videos. Aside from a Mac with FCP, what components do I need? (capture card, dv converter, betasp vtr??) I won't be doing much editing, and what I need to edit can be done in FCP. Basically, I just need to get the contents from the betasp tape on to my Mac and the rest can probably be done there. Of course I may have no idea what I'm talking about ;)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need a Beta deck & the ability to capture analog; by way of any number of hardware cards/breakout boxes etc.

Unless you have a huge amount of tapes it would likely be cheaper & easier to just go somewhere & pay for a dub from the Beta to DV.
