Bets way to send a gift to a person in another territory

I tried to gift and app to someone in a different iTunes territory but unfortunately, it seems the gift can only be redeemed in the UK app store (where my account is based).

Any ideas how I can easily gift an app or even iTunes credit to a Canadian account?
