Hello, I have the 2011 Macbook Air i5 and I'm getting better battery life on Windows 7 x64 Ultimate with same brightness, etc... settings. Is this normal?

I think the opposite used to be the case but now... Lion is a power hog and I do those 3 finger gesture thingies every 10 seconds. Maybe that is the reason.

I haven't directly compared the two, but Windows 7 has decent power management, and it's possible Apple improved the drivers in Boot Camp 4.0. That said, I'd be surprised if battery life were truly better in Windows than OS X on a Mac. Perhaps it was the software you were running on both.

damn thats kind of depressing, upgrade to snow leopard today, i'm sure that would give you a boost in the right direction.

I'm serious, Lion has a bunch of add on's if you don't need it, snow leopard is a viable option.
