I currently use an iPhone 6S (not currently on any upgrade plan/contract). I want a new phone as I am running up against battery and storage constraints (I have 64GBs) I intend to trade this phone in for an unlocked iPhone 7 (Jet Black) or iPhone 8. At some point in 2018, I'll probably buy the iPhone X (if I wait until September 2018, I can get the updated version, if there is one) on a Next / IPU plan and sell the current iPhone outright.

What's the better buy

Jet Black iPhone 7 (128G) at $649
Space Grey iPhone 8 (64G) at $699

I feel like a Jet Black iPhone 7 (which I will keep in a case) would have as high of a resale value as that iPhone 8 in a year

I'm really feeling like going to the apple store to pick up a iPhone 7, AirPods and a case today

I was going to say always go with the newest tech, but $200 more for half the storage? That is a tough one. Personally, I do not see the 8 as being worth that much over a 7.

Actually I edited - the 64G option is $699, not $849
