So I see a lot of people going back and forth about how photos are grainier. Night mode. I use a iPhoneX and overall happy with it that I am at 90% chance I don’t upgrade.
I use apps like FlimicPro and Movie Pro to record video. I also use: Halide, Focos, ProCamera, Procam, camera plus and Camera +

camera specs, I don’t really see a difference on the sensors since the X.

the other thing I notice, I see night mode being used where there isn’t a lot of moving objects or people. App wise, some of the apps mentioned above let you get more light in but if you have moving objects, like anything else, you will get blur if people or objects are moving.

So I guess my question is, is the hardware much improved or did they just take software already available and integrated it in their native camera app.

Looks like only software, compared with xs line, but I may be wrong...

ISO Range adjustments on both sensors, lower fstop on Tele, larger sensor for wide and obviously another lens for all kinds of stitching wizardry, since the phone is capable of pushing up to 4 streams at the same time
