Probably not hugely surprising even with better thermals due to the fact that the display now goes twice as bright as the last model in direct sunlight (2000 nits vs 1000 nits).

I thought that was an interesting statement when I heard it on the keynote. I kinda laughed to myself, thinking “that’s cool, except my 12 pro max is never giving me any brightness in direct sunlight” lol
Dave2D did performance testing at 8:40 mark. He used Genshin Impact and his results showed better sustained FPS. He even claimed it’s the best performing phone he’s ever tested for that game which he considers one of the most demanding graphically.
