I'm getting a new iPhone 6+ in 3-4 weeks, and at that point will sell my 5s on swappa or CL or something. Anyway, I've seen threads on here about older iPhones that indicated that some will have a higher resale value if they are not upgraded to the new iOS. I think it has to do with perceptions amongst some people that the phones run best on the original iOS they were released with. Does anyone think that will be the case with the 5s? I was looking forward to playing with iOS 8 as a consolation to having to wait for a new phone, but now I'm wondering if I should just hold off.

yes i always leave the previous iOS on my phone. the reason is because there is no unlock yet for the new software and the person i sell it to can't unlock it to sell overseas. i have att gsm

so i never upgrade to new software when i get the newest iphone.
