I know some will say, there is no issue, fine. Hypothetically speaking, which way would be better for preventing bending? I place the iPhone 6 in my front left pocket. Should it be glass up, away from my leg, or glass down, toward my leg.

Thoughts?

I doubt it makes a difference for bending, but for the screen's sake I always put the glass in towards my leg. Whenever I bump a table edge or a suitcase I'm carrying I think it's better for that impact to hit the back of the phone rather than the screen.

Since mine is slightly bent if I put it in my pocket, which I rarely do, I put it glass facing out so maybe it'll bend back haha.

Ha, ha,....... Put it in your back pocket, glass out, and sit down. It will be straight as an arrow after that....

J/K :D

I am with Small White Car on this one. Glass side in works for me. No bends so far
AND I really dont want to take this thread down that rabbit hole but I have not had bending issues with any iPhone. And its in my pocked when I play with my dog (for ex).
Anyway - good luck.

I have always put all of my phones with the back facing outside. That way, if I bump into a table corner or something sharp, it won't touch the screen.

A bit off topic but I always out my phone in my pocket glass down (against my leg). I feel like if something were to hit my leg and the glass was pointed out it would have a better chance of breaking the glass.

Glass towards my leg. As others have mentioned, I feel like it is better protected. Also, when I pull the phone out it will be facing the right direction. No additional fiddling required.:p

Same reason why I never liked the audio jack to be placed on the top. When you put the phone in your pocket the phone would be right side up, but when you pull it out of your pocket the phone would be upside down.

Always, always always glass facing my leg. Imagine walking or tripping into the corner of a table and you hit right on the glass...

I think I will have to apply for a grant of 1 million $ from the government to study this.

This, for the reason stated.

I remember most pictures of iPhones being bent backwards, the screen outwards. Is that correct? I can't recall any photos of the phone bending towards the screen. If so, maybe that would indicate it's better to put the phone glass side in.

I've never seen such a consensus of opinions. Lol

As many have already said, glass towards the leg always to protect the screen.

I've done this since my blackberry days. I switched when the 3GS came out and have carried the four generations of iPhone's I've owned all the same way.

Right? These types of threads always start an argument (that was NOT an invitation to start).

As for me, glass inward for reasons everyone else has already stated.

According to me, the better option is to place the iPhone 6 in pocket glass down. Because it will remain safe from the brokerage or any hit from outside.
