Better to SSH or use Winterboard for RAM/battery life?

So if it better if I literally change an image/font/etc in SSH or through Winterboard? Has any comparisons been made on this for RAM usage?

winterboard is known to be a RAM hog, and also slows down your system quite a bit. but it's the easiest way to implement a lot of tweaks.......that's why i use it

I always use the SSH method whenever possible. It's quick, works in Safe Mode, and it isn't hobbled down by Winterboard.

Winterboard is just easier and easily reversible.. But yes is a little bit of a slow down.
