Using the normal wifi utility in 10.9.4 leads to a lot of frustration. When for example, one has a group of wi-fi hotspots with different BSSID's but the same name- its not possible (that I know of) to select the particular one that provides best signal strength and SNR. I know this because I also have WiFi Explorer on the machine. Many times the system will connect to one of the group with lousy signal strength or SNR and its necessary to futz with disconnecting and reconnecting so the program will hopefully make a better choice.

Does there exist some sort of add on program to be able to be able to choose which hotspot one wants to connect to (when there are a group of say 5 with different BSSID's but all with the same name)?

Regards and thanks
