BetterTouchTool nag

I constantly get the message '"BetterTouchTool" wants to control... open system preferences.' But I already checked the box next to BTT in system preferences -> availability. Now it doesn't even seem like BTT does its job (changing the green button behaviour for me) even when it's open. What is wrong?
