In the drives themselves, probably virtually no difference. The Seagate has a longer warranty, so all things considered it's the only difference and one worth leaning towards that one for.

I have been using Hitachi drives for years. Only 1 failure, and Hatachi replaced it.

I'm a Hitachi fan.
