Beware: Apple "Authentic" Lightning Cables from Groupon

I received Apple Lightning cables from Groupon yesterday. I avoided third party cables, but Groupon stands by their product saying these are authentic and made by Apple. What do you think? Did Apple change the font from Lucida Grande to Helvetica Neue at some point?

I've often wondered the same thing but never ordered any. Groupon used to be really good in the beginning but once they sold out several years ago I have never felt that I can trust them anymore. Many of their deals these days are shady such as the Apple TV for $69.99 - more than retail now.
