Hi there, i could not get any Answer from Beejive Support so i complainhere, so in my eyes i would like to say: Beware of Beejive!

Why that?
Well Beejive is one of the most nice Instant messengers with a very nice interface but in my opinion it is a highly proced App for iPad, so IM+ has the same Price but they answer requests and further Stuff, not Beejive, tjhey ignore you, i don't know if this also affects Bugs but it surely affects Requests, so i am a visual impaired User so i asked for custom Font size for iPad and for iPhone, the iPhone Request i send one year ago, never received an answer, and now i send an ipad request, one month ago, still no reaction, so maybe Beejive is very neat App but regarding the Kind of Support , keep your hands away from this App or you get lost, so e.g. ICQ, i live in Germany and here is ICQ a huge number on IMs, not that i would care, i dont use ICQ, but others do, so VBeejive killed the support for ICQ, a lot of Ppl a complaining this in ratings but Beejive does not seem to care about this, they do not seem to care about anything, they just try to sell their App regarding on so much Reviews made for this App, and ppl are on their own if they need help, their forums work with Moderator Option so if the Moderator does not want to care about your Problem he will never activate the Question so it willl never appear on the Forums, sounds like Wikipedia ^^

Nevermind i think this is a very sad behaviour but i hope other Devs will pull out their Apps soon to make more Alternatives to Beejive and than they can close their Doors....

I know this words may be not fair but i am a lil buít pissed of for this kind of behaviour, so late answersa re much better that Answers never wrote...

The Beejive seem to be very quiet untill there are no alternatives yet for iPad, there is just Beejive or IM+, nothing else that would matter as far as i know, but once there will be Apps in a way there arre for iPhone already the fronts will change, i hope th the better....

[EDIT]:
Finally there is one alternative that works great and looks very good: Agile Messenger HD Pro, with customizable UI like Beeejive and more and they did answer within 24 hours, that is what i call support , good and great App with Push and more, i can just recommend it

Thx Agile!!!!

Trillian doesn't exist for the iPad yet.

Beejive is a great app but their customer support is woeful. Still use their app every day, though.

I've been pretty happy with Beejive, most of the bugs and problems I've reported have been fixed. But that's because they are legit bugs that affect a large percentage of their user base.

I don't think it's reasonable to request a custom feature just for yourself (I think that was what you were asking for, a bit difficult to understand the OP). Do most of the other apps have a large font size option? I have no idea, I'd imagine if you ask Twitter for a custom app they wouldn't bother either, engineering resource is limited, at the end of the day it's a matter of priorities and a feature very few people need is just not gonna make it to the release.

Well i umderstand your Answer but a short reply would be nice anyway
Ignoring custimers is not the best way of support
There are surely other Devs keeping such issues much better and more corresponding

Usability is important and in an app centered around reading an communication, user-adjustable font size should be a given. But things don't always work that way. If you need a larger font size to use a program you should be checking for these features and capabilities before downloading an app, and writing to let developers know it is important with you. You don't have a whole lot of room to complain about your choice to buy it...

And more to the point, there's a good chance this feature, implemented properly, would require a very significant amount of time. As a business they would probably rather devote that time focusing on features which more users require, or on another app to make more money.

Aside from some usability concerns, it is actually a very well presented app.

The point here is lrss usability, it is moe Accessibility and nearly none of Devs cares about this and yes i wrote then and did not buy it yet brcause i did not receive any answer, e.g. The IM+ team answered within one day the Beejive do not answer within decades and thats the problem here

Considering beejive hasnt even been around for decades, you may have been exaggerating there yeah?

Basically your annoyed that it doesnt have functionality, that you didnt check it did have before you bought it. The other point you made is that they dont respond to your reporting of it as a bug, lets be clear here, its not a bug, its a feature request, very few devs will actually ever respond to feature requests.

I have beejive on my iphone and it still supports icq :p

ICQ's dead in the water anyway, not exactly a great loss to the world.

I use Beejjive on the iphone and IM+ on the iPad. Beejive is fantastic, never had any problems using it with jabber, gmail, msn and facebook. Push notifications are fast and it's very customisable.

As for ICQ, they had to drop support as ICQ now requires a license. Totally out of their hands and not something they are at fault for. Plus if you had an existing ICQ account it will still work, it just doesn't allow you to add a new account.

Beejive is my most used app on the iphone and in my personal top 3 list of quality apps. Just wish their ipad implementation was better, IM+ is better on the iPad.

Well thx for the Replies, well again, i did not bought the App, and i did not made a bug report, i wrote for feedback regarding the feature request, nothing else, that they may not answer the request , that is what i see, many of Devs i wrote some day did answer my Mails, so this is not the defaut behaviour, i use Beejive on my iPhone as well, and it is quite the best App for IMs there, so i wanted to use it on my iPad as well, but i dont want to spend money on an App that i cannot or will not use while Accessibiblity Issues, so for what the hell do i need an IM App if i cannot read what others write or what i write without Screen Magnification by OS? I guess Custom Font Size is not a huge Problem, IM+ has already included this but the size is still too small for me, so i requested additional options and where is the Problem? Regarding ICQ, well i dont care, i hate ICQ and i am very happy not to need to use it anymore, on my side ICQ could close their Doors yesterday, not tomorrow, i wouldn't miss them, i just want to use an App like other Users withiout any Accessibility Problems use their App, i dont think this is a huge Problem to understand and plz do ot tell me to use built in Screen Zoom, try it out and try to use it with 3 Fingers all the time and keep track what is going on in a conversation, Well Accessibility seems to be a general Problem for Devs, they develop their App just for their needs, and untill Apple will not add this to their Developing Guidelines nothing will change, well why should something change you may ask? Well, 95% of Users do not have any Problems so they do not care, but the rest misses each kind of Accessibility in Apps, and this is verx annoying to write and request and wait for Answers for each kind of Accessibility Features, it is News Apps, it is IM Apps, it isor was even a Problem on Note taking Apps in the beginning of iPhone App store, so i needed to request such features for nearly each App that i wanted to use, slowly it becomes better but this is just with note taking Apps, not with other, since i have my iPad i tried nearly all News Apps to see how it looks and feels, and what shall i say: Only Reeder as RSS News Feed lives on my Springboard for ever, nearly all News or Magazine Apps were delete because i cannot read any kind of text inside this, they might look pretty but i do not understand why nearly any App does not use things like Pinch&Zoom?

Very annoying behaviour but i can live with this, i just wanted to report the lag of communication from Beejive so other Users and Buyers know what they can Expect or not...

I still dont understand whats wrong with the zoom....... you can also use voiceover if its really that much of an issue.
