Beware of changing your Apple ID with new iOS

... Particularly if you have restored from a backup. There is a specific order and certain steps to take BEFORE you change your ID. I'm not even quite sure what the proper steps are since i've been on/off the phone with Apple for 6 hours and still can't get iMessage to work. :(

Hopefully, I can update this with some real instructions later today.
