And probably other after market retailers also. Went in to my local Radio Shack to ask when they might get any iP5's in. The clerk told me that they could get them I just had to order one. Told him I might think about it at which point he started his sales pitch. One thing he was telling me was that I would NOT loose my unlimited data if I bought a subsidized phone. I tried to convince him otherwise but he was adamant stating they had done it a lot and nobody had lost their unlimited data. I think he just didn't understand.

So be careful of sales folks in Radio Shack and other non Verizon retailers.

There might be some truth to that. My grandma added a line on her unlimited data account and I had to go to mobile share. On My Verizon it still shows her data as unlimited, it's been almost 2 billing cycles now. And this was bought subsidized.

Since when do you lose unlimited if you upgrade to the iphone 5?

I literally just bought my mom an iphone 5 at an at&t store like 2 hours ago, and she still has unlimited.

My sister in law too. Tons of peoples as well...

Verizon, not AT&T

he's talking about Verizon, if you get it at subsidized they are supposed to make you upgrade to a mobile share plan. At&t doesn't care but they WILL throttle you if you go over 3gb on 3g or 5 on LTE

Yeah well I dont know a time when RadioShack has ever been taken seriously.
Even their batteries are not that good.
