Beware! Upgrading to iPhoto 11 empties your trash

I keep a lot of old alternate shots stored in my trash as iPhoto 09 never empties its trash unless you tell it to.

Now I have lost a ton of photos, and have to go to an alternate machine with a backup of my iPhoto library and open it again in 09 and fish them out. Grrr!!!!!

Thank goodness that I have a backup of it.

I upgraded my sister's computer yesterday to iLife '11 and the iPhoto Trash was unaffected (i had to manually empty since there was a huge amount of crap in there).

Never put stuff in the trash that you would want. This goes for iPhoto or just your regular OS X trash. Your one click or some fluke like this upgrade you did away from losing it all.

Wait a minute, you mean the trash is for stuff that gets deleted? Who would have thought!
