The screw that attaches the bezel to the display (and holds the bezel and display together) on the lower-left corner of my MacBook Pro 17 (A1261) display has disappeared.

Two questions:
1) What are the specs/part number for this screw? Where can I get it?

2) Can I install it without removing the display from the body?

Thanks!

What screw? Do you have a photo of the screw hole?

This guide doesn't mention any screw: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Install...els-A1151-A1212-A1229-and-A1261-Display/323/1

The only way you are getting to it is by removing the entire display to get to it.

It's not worth replacing IMO.

The problem with not replacing it is that the display case is tending to separate. The screw seems to be holding the sandwich of the display together.
