I've seen quite a few threads about BF2142 crashing but they've all seemed to be for older versions. I've got a MacPro, 8GB of RAM, ATI XT1900T. The game loads fine, plays beautifully for about 5 minutes then crashes to a black screen where the last sound played during gameplay is looped until I have to shut down my computer the hard way. I've contacted EA and they said to unplug all USB inputs, run it in windowed mode, and get the latest patches. I've done all that to no avail. They also said to just reinstall the game under a different admin account (which I don't know what it will do) and will try that now. Until it works I'm stuck playing the same 5 maps for 5 minutes as a 'recruit'.
