Is it worth spending the $80 diffference on upgrading to the 2.7 GHz or is this chip almost the same as the base 2.6 GHz.

I'm a graphic designer + do a little photography. Currently own a 2013 13-inch rMBP.

I just went for the 2.6GHz with the 460. You can't go wrong with either one really. On the one hand, it's easy to say "why not?" because $80 isn't a lot when you consider the price of the machine, but on the other hand, the performance difference is going to be minimal and probably won't make any meaningful difference. You've already upgraded the GPU, and that will make far more difference to the capability of the machine than a 0.1GHz bump. Unless you really want to pay the $80 for your own peace of mind, I wouldn't bother.

I decided to go with the 2.6GHz and AppleCare I didn't think it would be that big of a bump. Though it was only $80, with the upgrades of the GPU and storage, I wasn't going to add it to the list.

I am happy with what I have ordered!
