Just got home from Wally world here on Oahu and wal mart here is price gouging the new iPad, selling it and all other models at nearly $50 more (the 16 was $548). I bought a 16 gb black unit and the manager standing there was telling people that the 499 price point was an online price.
I still bought it, but I did partially so I would have the evidence, both the receipt and the box with the different price tag on it. I will be contacting both apple and wal mart in a few hors to let them know what has happened and attempt some form of resolution, I just thought that people needed to know that an authorized apple reseller was jacking up the prices, even if it was only here in Hawaii.
