On my Mac Pro 7.1 I'm using an MX Master 3 Logitech mouse connected using bluetooth under Big Sur 11.3. After some changes to the storage (another story...) I can't seem to run the "Logi Options" Logitech software required to configure the mouse buttons. I downloaded and installed the latest version.

The symptom is that Logi Options seems to start OK, then asks for an ID of the bluetooth device I want to configure; it brings up the System Preferences and when I click on the MX Master 3 mouse (which is already connected bluetooth), the software doesn't find anything and the configuration panel suddenly disappears. Force Quit doesn't see the Logi Options software, so I assume it has just crashed and stopped entirely.

Anyone run across this? What might the fix be?

Tom

EDIT: The rest of the story...

I seem to have fixed the above problem. Here's what I did:

First, I used the Logi Options Uninstall software to uninstall. Next, I rebooted, then re-downloaded the newest Logi Options for MacOS Big Sur from the Logitech web site and installed it. It's now working as it should, I think. So far, so good...

I use: Logitech G305 / macOS Big Sur (V. 11.6.1) / MacBook Air (M1, 2020)

I managed to solve the problem. My problem was that when I connected the mouse "Logitech G305” it worked, but the Logitech program did not see the device. I always received the following message: no devices detected.

The solution is to only use the app - Logitech G Hub. Logitech no longer deals with other applications:

- Firmware Update Tool;

- Logitech Gaming Software;

- Logi Option.

It took me almost all day. I haven't found information anywhere, not even on the official product website Logitech G305.
