Big Sur from Catalina

Hi guys, i just using Mac few months ago. Before upgrading to Big Sur. I read all suggestions to Clean Install before upgrading.

I saw a video before erasing / formatting the disk. Lead me to Startup Security Utilities. Should i go there or just erasing the disk straight away?
