I'm currently at 10.15.7 on an SSD formatted to APFS installed on mid-2015 MBP 15" (Retina) with 16GB RAM. Should I stick or twist up to Big Sur?

I read that older models are suffering freeze on install, is that common with the mid-2015 MBP?

No issues on my 2015 MBP / 16g RAM / 500g Samsung ssd (upgraded from 256g)

Been running it since the 3rd beta and it runs just as well as Catalina and Mojave - did not have any issues with the install or updates.

FWIW - I would make sure you have a good internet connection and keep it connected during the installation or updates to avoid any install or update issues caused by a lost internet connection
