Is it me or has my MBA gotten snappier since installing Big Sur? This is the first time in years that I notice a significant improvement in overall user experience, I hope it lasts!

I agree, mine is also running much hotter too. I used to run around 40-50 and now I am idling at 75-90. Seems snappy af tho.

Yes - my i3 feels faster also. If anything, temperature and fan noise is down for me.

Using it on my new i3 and it works great. One issue i have in chrome about once a day is when i drag my curser to the top of the screen to check the time the status bar doesn't pop down. Maybe this is a chrome issue.

My MBA 2020 feels a bit snappier so big thumbs up for that, what i have noticed is WindowServer is running a bit heavy since the update, CPU usage around 45-50% i have not noticed it being that high in Catalina. Might have to do fresh install to check what is going on. Anyone has similar thing with WindowServer?

Yeah, just moving the cursor will bring WindowServer to ~40-50%. If I plug in a Razer DeathAdder mouse it goes up to 120%. By my not-so-scientific estimates moving the cursor with a trackpad adds 5 watts :p That adds up to more power and heat over time!
