Big Sur + PDF + Preview + Canon Laser = no Text (SOLVED: DRIVER, stupid me)

Hello

after installing big sur (lets call it BS for the time being), i cannot print PDFs to my canon cx645 laser; well, i can, but there is no text on any page, only graphics get printed, but no text.

i have this prob on 3 machines, all running BS.

anybody else experiencing similar probs?

i guess it might have something to do with the way BS deals with PDF-embedded fonts, but thats just a wild wild guess.

PROBEM SOLVED by updating to newest canon driver; didnt get into my head that printing a pdf is / was printer driver dependend in terms of fonts ?! anyway...
