Apologies if this is a stupid question:

if I'm skipping Monterey and going straight to Ventura from Big Sur, is there any danger I'd be missing out on any driver/firmware updates that came with Monterey?

Or would those (if any) be included in the Ventura package? Because if I would be missing out on anything, I'd want to install Monterey first, surely?

Thank you.

(again this could be a stupid question, but not one I've got a conclusive answer on yet)

No. Ventura (inc drivers and firmware) is complete in itself. You could say that each macOS 'replaces' all the previous versions.

So go straight from BS to Ventura. Just make sure that your apps are up to date and are supported (or run) with Ventura - that is where your pain points could be.
