Looking to buy a bigger hard drive for my MBP 15" base model (Late 2008) and was wondering what the max is for that particular model? I currently have a 250GB and am running low on space and needing to upgrade. Also if you have any info on the specific specs i need from a HD that would be awesome. Thanks!

Mike

You can either get an external drive and transfer all the stuff to there and do a clean install. Or you can get an internal hard drive and replace your current 250gb. As long as the drive is "2.5". The more popular one is western digital 500gb 5400rpm, seagate 500gb 7200rpm. I got a WD 640gb 5400rpm. I might just get a seagate 500gb 7200rpm for the heck of it :]

as long as the hard drive states "2.5" on it, it should be compatible with your mbp.

also, i think there is going to be a 1 TB version coming out very soon in the 2.5" flavor.
