oh my god on the sixth photo. there is a macintosh behind him!!!!! LOL @ THAT!!!

I like Bill Gates. He's an interesting guy and did so much to revolutionize computing. Plus all his charity work. :)

If you can peel him away from M$, I agree. He really doesn't seem like a bad guy and it is very commendable all the charity stuff he does or donates to. I just have this weird thing where every time I think of him I picture a Windows.. freaky.

Despite the horror stories you hear about how he is to work with, dare I say it, on a regular every-day-man personal level he seems likable.

Actually an interesting piece

Gates and Jobs are very different and MS and Apple reflect that
But both were and are extraordinary individuals

Gates is committed to his "baby," and who among us wouldn't be?

Where would we be without either one of them?

I bet they hang out together and laugh at the "rest of us!"

How hard Gates is to work with? I haven't heard much about Gates. All I know is that Jobs is intolerable, and I could probably never work for him. Yet Jobs doesn't get nearly as much crap as Gates. I'd rather work for Gates long-term, but use Apple's products, although it would be interesting to work for Steve Jobs for like 6 months.

Steve is a perfectionist and micro-manager. I've heard Gates can get pretty durned nasty though - of course, its only the other executives that have to deal with day-to-day.. Probably why Ballmer is the way he is :D

Agreed. You can say what you want about him as a businessman, but he's done some pretty good things with his wealth.

I was just about to say that. He really is an extraordinary individual who has made many great and generous contributions.

That's the picture with John Shirley in it, so it's probably 1983 or 84. Microsoft was a big supporter of the early Mac, with programs like Word and the first versions of Excel.
There were a good number of Macs at Microsoft at the time.

edit: it's dated 1985
