Just found out that Bill Gates will be retiring within the next couple months, i have to say, kinda sad, not to mention he's young, he was in this business ever since he was 17

Well, he deserves it. I really admire him.

He changed the world completely and even tho he has a lot of money, he seems to be a really simple and nice person.

I hate him in business and love him in charity and international development. He is a force for profound positive change in the world, because he approaches development in an effective and intelligent way. I'm happy he'll commit more time for it, and I hope that the Nobel committee wakes up and gives him the Prize soon.

gates is probably a nice person overall, but i'm not so sure if i want to work with him (same can be said about SJ, i guess). time had an interview w/ gates back in '97, kinda interesting to look back what was happening ten years ago.

when is ballmer gonna retire? :D

The video was actually pretty funny, but it tried waaaaaay too hard, like a Very Special Episode of The Cosby Show, rather than a normally funny episode of 30 Rock or The Office.
It became all about how many A-listers you could cram into 10 minutes, the kind of thing that you might find at the Bar Mitzvah of a precocious kid with an incredibly well-connected Dad.
Wonder if anyone turned them down? Springsteen maybe?
A notable lack of professional athletes, which would have been a natural forum for geek gags.
best
Allen

Yeah, I've heard about his retirement too.
Well, great man, great ideas, great company that did a great contribution to our live! :)
I wonder if he can provide his company with adequate successor.
Does anybody know about possible successor?

I may not agree with everything he did in business but I have a lot of respect for Bill, both as a businessman and as a humanitarian.
