Bad Photoshop, but I like the personal startpage idea.

I always wanted to make my own startpage, but it would be simple, elegant, Apple-esque. It would say "Welcome to the Internet" and would have Safari-like searchbars for Google or Google images or an address bar (i already have these things as yahoo widgets)... and shortcuts to my favourite websites. but i never got around to making it. i could put it in my sites folder and it would be super quick. :)

[edit]: actually i will make it, but only if i can create the custom search/address bar with custom graphics. anyone have any idea how to do this? or could they point me to a tutorial?

If I made my own personal start page it would probably be something like the old Comcast commercial. Where the guy goes to the "end" of the internet and it says something like "Please Go Back" repeatedly in a computer voice.

I was thinking something more like this.

It is severely lacking in features right now, though, so I'd appreciate some help on it. Read the thread please. :)
