Anyone on this list surprise you? Anyone you expected to be higher (or lower)? I expected Lionel Richie to be higher. It seems like in the early to mid 80s he was all over the charts. Same with Phil Collins. And Olivia Newton-John at 20? I didn’t think she had that many hits.

Fun list to read through. I was surprised to see Three Dog Night, but then it’s only the singles. I would have thought John Denver, although not a personal favorite, would have been higher. It might be fun to compare Top 100 Albums too.

Here’s a list of the best selling albums (according to Wikipedia). I believe these are only US sales. Michael Jackson on this list the most times (5), followed by Celine Dion (4) and The Beatles, Madonna & Whitney Houston (3). I‘m a little surprised Linkin Park is so high on this list. I didn’t know they were that popular.

Yeah, Linkin Park, what’s with that? Also surprised to see Oasis and Ace of Base higher than Saturday Night Fever.

Had a similar question at trivia a few weeks ago. I was shocked, and pissed off too.

Only 14 musical acts have had 3 songs in the Billboard top 10 at the same time.
