Billing on paid apps?

I just recently bought my first iPhone (Verizon) and set up everything with my iTunes, including the check card I use to pay for things on it. I bought a couple paid apps - Angry Birds and MLB at Bat 11 - and they haven't shown up on my online statement yet. Does it usually take a couple days to show up, or does iTunes charge it at once for a certain period of time (e.g. charge for the all the apps you pay during a month-long time)?

They wait a while so they don't have to charge your card $.99 or $.69 and pay the credit card fee on that small amount. I haven't been able to nail down a set time frame for billing, but it seems to be within a week usually.

For me, it takes between 2 and 3 days, but never more than 3.
