Bite SMS on ios5 question. Message count not opening text messages

I have a problem of 6 unread messages and normally on iOS 4 I could click the "message count icon" and it would show me all the messages. However in ios5 clicking the message count at the top doesn't work. Any clue how to enable that?

I've noticed the same thing. It seems as if that feature has been abandoned in lieu of having notification center, which is just fine for my purposes. I prefer to use NC instead of a popup anyway.

That said, tapping the unread icon has proven to be a hard habit to break!

No, because it's not broken. The feature has been abandoned.
