BiteSMS 5.0

I have BiteSMS 4.99 installed, how do I upgrade to 5.0? looking in Cydia only 4.99 seems to be available although 5.0 is cited in the version history as from today!

The beta repo went down last night because the beta period is over. 5.0 is in the process of going onto the Big Boss repo right now.

That is correct, repo is down.
The official release of 5.0 will be on the standard repos shortly. The beta repo is no longer active.

I've tried that and I get a dialogue box telling me 'Did not find Repository'

oh. well i stand corrected...that is what i used just last night. must have taken it down right after. still have 5.0 on my phone

The latest post from Martin on the Bite forums says he'll update the post when the official version is out. No update yet--that was 15 hours ago. They're down in Australia, aren't they?

I checked Cydia about 30 mins ago and the beta repo was deleted; no other changes.

Does 5.0 lag for you without ads? Mine is laggy with ads..it takes a second to update before I can tap on anything when I launch BiteSMS.

Maybe you should remove and reinstall it. Your problem is atypical and unrelated to ads.

Since Rock is no more, do we still keep the license after we buy it so in the future when I want the same app, I wont have to buy it again. Does this still apply to Cydia?

BiteSMS's license is handled directly by the developer. You can restore the license by entering your phone number into the app and receiving the license via sms. If you change numbers, you have to email them to get it changed over.

I am having the same problem with my bitesms being laggy when I first open it, I do not have a license, using it for free with adds. I will try and reinstall and see what happens.

I deleted it then restarted and redownloaded it, it stil laggs when I first open it each time I open it. Any one else having this happen with adds?

Installed the 5.0 release of BiteSMS a few hours ago. I've been using it since then without any issues. Mail works fine.
